South Tyrol

Welcome to South Tyrol

Italy at its best, with more than an added dash of Alpine influence. South Tyrol is the perfect destination for the discerning skier during the winter, with guaranteed snow coverage on more than 90% of the slopes set against the breath-taking, UNESCO-listed Dolomites. The Dolomites are the highest coral reef in the world; formed 90 million years ago they are widely regarded as one of the world’s most attractive mountain landscapes.

The region is Italy’s most northerly province, and has a varied landscape ranging from Alpine meadows and mountains to vineyards and Mediterranean palms. South Tyrol is home to Dolomiti Superski – the world’s largest ski network with 1,200km of slopes and the Sellaronda – a 26km tour around the peaks of the Dolomites.

Add to that 300 days of sunshine a year, a delicious culinary offering fusing Italian and Alpine flavours, quality regional wines and a fantastic spa tradition, and it’s clear to see why South Tyrol really is Italy with a twist.
